About
Mayank Kapoor. Manchester, UK. Transformation consultant by profession. Builder, walker and photographer by disposition.
Manana, मनन, is the second step of the old Vedantic method of learning. Śravaṇa is hearing the teaching. Manana is reflecting on it until borrowed belief becomes your own conviction. Nididhyāsana is absorbing it until it changes how you see. This site is my manana done in public. The essays are the reflection. The photographs are what the walking eye keeps while the mind churns. These essays are how I churn through the things I think about anyway. Dharma and how to live. The movement of power between nations. The systems and machines we build. The psychology of staying sane while doing all of it.
The photographs come from the same discipline. I walk with a camera and the street and the landscape decide what I get to keep. Nothing here is advice. It is a workshop with the door left open.
Everything here is made by hand. The essays and the photographs are © Mayank Kapoor. All rights reserved. My name goes with my work. I assert that right. Quote freely, with my name and a link back. For republication, for the photographs, or for prints, write to hello@mananablogs.com.
Leave a note and I keep two things. The name you sign and the words you write. Nothing else. No account, no tracking. Cloudflare quietly keeps the bots out. If you ever want a note removed, write to hello@mananablogs.com and it is done.
